With Radio Frequency There Is:

NO DOWNTIME – NO PAIN – NO SURGERY – NO INJECTIONS

What You Need To Know About Radio Frequency (RF)

    About Face Contouring

Radio Frequency (RF) is the most popular technology for non-surgical face lifting. It works by penetrating deep into the skin and promoting changes in the collagen structure. As we age, our skin produces less collagen, and the quality is not optimal. The collagen strands are disorganized due to free radical damage. This results in weakening of the skin and sagging.

RF works by immediately heating up the collagen strands, causing contraction. This produces the immediate lift seen. Very often, this result, however dramatic, will initially be temporary. Multiple treatments are required over a short space of time to stimulate new collagen production, following which the results will last longer.

Depending on the condition of the skin at the start of treatment, few or many treatments will be required for optimal results. Again, the worse the original skin condition, the more frequently maintenance sessions will have to be performed.

As well as simple face lifting, the general skin condition also improves with RF. The texture is healthier, a glow is more apparent, and wrinkles/fine lines are lighter. This is obviously not the case should a surgical face lift be performed, where the underlying skin condition remains weak.

Radio Frequency is a good option for people looking for overall improvement without injections (Botox, fillers) or surgery. It also has the benefits of facial slimming (if desired) and reduction of acne.

What You Should Do Before Treatment

You should try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes sunbathing (natural or artificial). We are unlikely to treat someone who has sun burn for example, as they would be more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the already damaged skin; however an established tan would be fine.

Some women find that their skin is more sensitive right before and during their menstrual cycle.  Hence, if you are a woman, you might want to take this effect on pain threshold into consideration when scheduling your treatment appointment(s).

    Immediately After Treatment
    1. Hydrate properly 24 hours before: Drink half your body weight in ounces (Ex: if you weigh 140 lbs., drink 70 ounces)
    2. Shower before your service and make sure you have no lotions or oil on your skin so our creams can have maximum penetration (Deodorant is fine)
    3. No alcohol before or directly after your service.
    4. Have a light meal 1 to 2 hours before your treatment.
    5. Bring spanx or a compression garment if you have one to wear after your service.

    Why
    Radio Frequency?

There is no visible downtime after the procedure, and you can resume your normal activities.  It is not painful, and by some clients the session has been described as similar to a hot stone massage.  If you don’t want to go through a painful surgery and avoid a lengthy recovery this is a great alternative as Radio Frequency Face & Body Contouring treatments are non-surgical and requires no needles.
